Areas of Expertise

We associate only with highly-trained medical practitioners who have years of experience under their belt in the field of MMJ and CBD.

Through their specialized care and kindness-first approach, we’ve helped thousands of patients find relief through MMJ treatment.

Their primary goal is to identify the optimal treatment option for every patient under their attentive care. With that in mind, our MMJ doctors are always up-to-date on the many debilitating illnesses that can be medicated through MMJ treatment, including:
Chronic Pain

The Endocannabinoid System in our brains is responsible for many bodily responses – including pain control. Through its effect on the cannabinoid receptors, marijuana is able to ease chronic pain under its many forms – from regular back pain to more advanced forms like neuropathic pain.

Reducing intraocular pressure (IOP), cannabinoids are a proven method of combatting the damage caused by glaucoma, no matter how they are administered.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Thanks to its calming effect on the endocannabinoid system, marijuana can prove an excellent form of relief for the panic attacks and chronic insomnia suffered by PTSD patients.

Wasting Syndrome

An efficient appetite stimulant that also reduces nausea, marijuana can directly combat the weight loss of wasting syndrome if taken in regular, controlled doses.

About MMJ Doctors in Maryland

How much does a Maryland medical card cost?

At QuickMedCards, we make it our priority to always put patients before profit. That is why we offer the lowest price in the state of MD for a medical marijuana card recommendation. While other Maryland telemedicine providers charge $175-$200 for their consultations with MMCC physicians, we only charge $149.

Beyond the cost of the telemedicine provider, patients and caregivers also have to pay a non-refundable $50 fee to MMCC for their card application.

Does Maryland health insurance cover medical marijuana?

Sadly, no. Because of its Schedule I drug status, marijuana is not on the approved list of health insurance medication in the state of Maryland.

How long does it take to get approved by the MMCC and get your card?

Once you’ve done the patient registration on the MMCC website and been approved for treatment by one of our Maryland physicians, they will need your Patient ID number from MMCC to certify you in the system.

After your Maryland cannabis doctor certifies you, the state will send you your Medical Marijuana ID, which will arrive at your listed address in 30 days after your application has been approved.

Do you need a medical card to buy from a dispensary in Maryland?

Yes. Fortunately, you can use your medical card to purchase marijuana products from any dispensary in Maryland. For instance, whether you’re in Annapolis or Bowie, you can easily stop by Capital Greens MMCC physicians for any of your CBD oil, tincture, or topical needs.

Can marijuana interfere with other forms of medication?

While research on the medical interference between marijuana and other forms of medication is rather limited, the general consensus is that you shouldn’t mix marijuana with any of the following:

  • Alcohol
  • Drugs, herbs, and/or supplements that have an anticoagulant or anti-platelet effect
  • CNS depressants like sedatives and/or tranquilizers
  • Protease inhibitors
  • Serotonin reuptake inhibitors

We advise that you discuss any potential side effects, risks, and benefits of marijuana treatment with your recommending physician, and keep them informed of any developments throughout the duration of your treatment.
