Areas of Expertise

We associate only with highly-trained medical practitioners who have years of experience under their belt in the field of Medical Cannabis and CBD.

Through their specialized care and kindness-first approach, we’ve helped thousands of patients find relief through mmj treatment.

They can get you your PA medical card certification for a multitude of debilitating illnesses, including:
Chronic Pain

The Endocannabinoid System in our brains is responsible for many bodily responses – including pain control. Through its effect on the cannabinoid receptors, marijuana is able to ease chronic pain under its many forms – from regular back pain to more advanced forms like neuropathic pain.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Thanks to its calming effect on the endocannabinoid system, marijuana can prove an excellent form of relief for the panic attacks and chronic insomnia suffered by PTSD patients.

Taken in controlled doses, marijuana strains containing both THC and CBD can help with the mental stimulation that is required to combat the symptoms of both social and generalized anxiety.

Doctors often recommend cannabis to cancer patients because it can help with the most common side-effects of cancer treatment, such as severe wasting and nausea.

Crohn's Disease (IBD)

Medical Cannabinoids are used as a complementary or alternative method to treat symptoms of IBD and other gastrointestinal diseases.

About MMJ Doctors in PA

What is the expert opinion on marijuana for medical use?

While marijuana has yet to be approved as an official form of medication by the FDA, the progressive medical consensus on marijuana treatment marks it as a viable alternative to traditional medication. This is especially true now that more treatment options are available to patients, with the amount of US states that have already legalized medical-use cannabis.

How can I determine if medical marijuana is the right option for me?

If you’re suffering from an illness that has been proven to be treatable through marijuana, such as multiple sclerosis or cancer, consulting with a medical marijuana doctor will help determine what type of treatment is required for your specific needs.

What are the allowed forms of medical marijuana in Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania law allows dispensaries to sell and produce marijuana products in the following forms:

  • Pills
  • Oils
  • Topicals (such as body creams and ointments)
  • Liquid tinctures
  • Vaporization/nebulization-based products

Unfortunately, Pennsylvanians are not allowed to consume smokable hemp flower under any circumstance.

Does PA medicaid cover medical marijuana? How much does it cost?

The Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program incurs a $50 non-refundable fee for any medical card application. However, patients who are part of an assistance program, such as Medicaid, PACE/PACENET, SNAP, WIC, and CHIP, may qualify for a $25 fee reduction.

Additionally, patients must pay a consultation fee for their medical marijuana doctor. Most PA telemedicine providers charge anywhere between $175 to $200 for their services, but we only charge $149, as we want to provide affordable medical care to all patients in the state of Pennsylvania.

Can marijuana interfere with other forms of medication?

While research on the medical interference between marijuana and other forms of medication is rather limited, the general consensus is that you shouldn’t mix marijuana with any of the following:

  • Alcohol
  • Drugs, herbs, and/or supplements that have an anticoagulant or anti-platelet effect
  • CNS depressants like sedatives and/or tranquilizers
  • Protease inhibitors
  • Serotonin reuptake inhibitors

We advise that you discuss any potential side effects, risks, and benefits of marijuana treatment with your recommending physician, and keep them informed of any developments throughout the duration of your treatment.

Can you get a medical card for anxiety in PA?

Yes, you can! The Pennsylvania MMP lists anxiety disorders as one of its official qualifying conditions for medical marijuana treatment.
