Follow the steps below to get certified for medical marijuana with Quick Med Cards:
- Complete our sign-up form and create your account.
- Book your appointment with one of our Louisiana cannabis doctors.
- Attend your virtual consultation over a video call.
- Get your recommendation after the doctor’s approval.
I have several qualifying conditions. Does that guarantee that I'll get my Louisiana med card?
No. Having a qualifying condition does not guarantee approval.
Your marijuana doctor will review your condition and determine whether medical marijuana is appropriate for your needs.
How is the consultation done? Can I have a video call with the doctor?
Yes. Your consultation is completed through a secure video call. You will discuss your condition and whether medical marijuana may be appropriate for you. If approved, Quick Med Cards will send your recommendation to your selected Louisiana dispensary and provide you with a copy.
What happens after I'm approved?
Your cannabis doctor will upload your marijuana recommendation to the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy’s Cannabis Registry, and then you can buy medical cannabis from dispensaries in the state.
When will I get my med card in the mail?
No. Lousiana doesn’t issue medical marijuana cards to patients. Your marijuana recommendation is enough to buy medical cannabis from dispensaries in LA.
How long is my med card valid for?
Your medical marijuana recommendation will be valid for one year.
I lost/destroyed my med card. How do I ask for a new one?
Your medical marijuana recommendation will always be available in your email and your Quick Med Cards dashboard.
Are there other fees I need to pay for?
Louisiana does not charge a state fee for medical marijuana recommendations. With Quick Med Cards, your consultation and recommendation cost $179, or you can use the installment option for as little as $47.
