   5. Visit a licensed Virginia dispensary with your certification and a valid government-issued ID to purchase medical cannabis.

Virginia no longer requires patients to register for a medical cannabis card. The doctor’s written certification and your valid government ID are the main documents you need to purchase medical cannabis from a licensed dispensary.
